Tile Flooring Installation

Porcelain, ceramic and wood-look tile set flat and level, with prep that protects against slab movement.

Tile floors set flat and level

Porcelain and ceramic tile are some of the hardest-wearing floors you can buy. We install standard sizes, large-format tile and long wood-look planks in kitchens, bathrooms, entries, laundry rooms and whole-home layouts.

Prep for North Texas slabs

Slabs move with the clay soils in our area, and tile can crack when the slab does. Before tiling we inspect the slab, treat stable cracks with a crack-isolation membrane, and flatten the floor so large tiles sit level.

Our tile process

  1. Remove old flooring and clean the slab.
  2. Flatten the floor and apply membrane where needed.
  3. Plan the layout so cuts land at walls, not in the middle of the room.
  4. Set tile with the correct thinset and full coverage, using a leveling system on large tile.
  5. Grout, clean and seal where the product calls for it.

Wood-look tile

Wood-look porcelain gives you a plank look that is waterproof and very durable. It needs a flat floor and careful layout to avoid uneven edges between planks.

Tile Installation questions

Is wood-look tile a good alternative to hardwood?

Yes, for areas that see water or heavy wear. It gives a plank look with the durability of porcelain. Long planks need a very flat floor and a leveling system to avoid lippage.

What about cracks in my slab?

Small, stable cracks can be bridged with a crack-isolation membrane before tiling. We inspect the slab and explain the prep in your estimate.

How soon can I walk on new tile?

Light foot traffic is usually fine after the thinset and grout cure per the product instructions. We give you the timing when we finish.
