Waterproof floors for real life
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) look like wood or stone but have a waterproof core. They resist scratches from pets, handle spills in kitchens and laundry rooms, and are one of the most popular floors for family homes, rentals and flips.
Click-lock or glue-down
- Rigid-core (SPC or WPC) click-lock planks float over the subfloor and install quickly.
- Glue-down vinyl is thinner, very stable, and common in commercial spaces and large open areas.
Prep makes the difference
Vinyl shows what is underneath it. Dips and humps in a slab can cause planks to separate or feel hollow. We check flatness, grind high spots and level low spots before installing, and leave proper expansion space around the room.
Good to know
- Planks are waterproof, but we seal perimeters in wet areas to protect the subfloor.
- LVP can often go over existing tile or vinyl when the surface is flat and solid.
- Damaged planks can be replaced individually.
- Heavy appliances should be moved with care to avoid gouges.
